Sažetak
Purpose was to present a case of atypical retinoblastoma, with no calcifications, detected in 8-year-old boy, complicated with secondary absolute glaucoma. Ultrasound was used to detect unilateral hyperechogenous, noncalcified, penduculating solid retinal mass, 12x15 mm. Within few days, acute glaucomatous attack of the affected eye developed with anterior chamber thick cell suspension (masquerade sy). Clinical picture, high LDL humour aqueous/serum ratio, malignant cells in humour aqueous and similar reports in the literature led to presumptive diagnosis of retinoblastoma that was confirmed by pathological examination of enucleated bulbus. Glaucoma complicating retinoblastoma is not rare, however, this is the first case of atypical retinoblastoma with the same complication.
