Sažetak
The Debye-Hückel definition of the ion cloud radius is deduced directly from the definition of the side length of a cube containing one ion of an 1 - 1 electrolyte buy the application of the Madelung constant principle. The assumption is made that the ions of opposite charge are separated for a distance of closest approach. The later is an adjustable theoretically well founded parameter and not a correction factor as in the elementary Debye-Hückel theory. The difference between the logarithm of ion cloud redius in the electrolyte is proportional to the electrokinetic quotient
