Sažetak
The Acta Dermatovenerologica Croatica (ADC) Journal Board and I as its Editor-in-Chief will do our best to stay in touch with you, and to jointly work on many important issues to be solved. Please contact me directly with your ideas. We are aiming to identify the areas that deserve most of ADC attention. Thus, you can follow and comment on the European Acad¬emy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV), Inter¬national Society of Dermatology (ISD), International League of Dermatological Societies (ILDS) activities. It was a predominant task of the ISD to organize, with Professor Branka Marinović from Zagreb, the Region¬al Meeting Autoimmune Bullous Diseases – What’s New?, International Symposium, in Zagreb, October 28 and 29, 2011, and to prepare the next one on drug reactions, again in Croatia in 2012. How can we best balance between the different subspecialties of med¬icine? Some of you have already come up with sug¬gestions, and we ask you to contact us for criticisms or proposals. The scope of dermatology differs geographically, and we need to find ways to strengthen the areas of our discipline that are not represented globally, but which are of utmost importance where they belong to dermatology. Such fields include, among others, venereology, allergy, dermatopathology, proctology, mycology, etc. Personally, I strongly believe that the ADC will identify and tackle the problems we are facing in der¬matovenereology. I strongly believe in further publicist success of ADC as a dermatologic frame.
