Sažetak
Harada and Tonchev recently presented a construction of self-orthogonal codes from orbit matrices of symmetric designs with fi xed-point-free automorphisms. Using this method we construct self-orthogonal codes from orbit matrices of some symmetric designs of Menon type. Further, we describe a construction of self-orthogonal codes from orbit matrices of symmetric designs admitting certain automorphisms with fixed points (and blocks). In addition, we discuss a generalization of this method of construction of self-orthogonal codes from some other combinatorial structures.
