Sažetak
In air freight industry, blood samples are classified as time and temperature sensitive biologically produced pharmaceuticals. To determine a level of influence the handling processes and transportation by air has on a blood sample quality, a research is conducted through transportation of whole blood samples on two European scheduled routes. Two shipping models were defined, standard without defined transportation temperature regime and controlled, where transportation is conducted under appropriate temperature regime. Blood samples are packed and transported accounting all relevant national and international regulations. Analysis is conducted and results compared with control sample kept in laboratory. Significant changes were identified on all components analyzed after cross check with the control sample.
