Sažetak
Design of large span reinforced concrete arch bridges Krk and Pag Bridges is presented as well as the damages to various structural members that occurred during 20 years of service and war in Croatia. Inspection and tests that were carried out on the bridges and results of the performed static and dynamic analyses are described. Special emphasis is given to the state of the support elements and bearings. The current rehabilitation programme is also presented as well as the authors suggestions for their improvement. Lecture also gives an overview of the current inadequate seismic code in Croatia and the need for implementation and further researches in the field of seismic isolation.
