Sažetak
The creation of imaginary friends is believed to be normative and common in early childhood. Research has shown that children with an imaginary friend have better self-insight and self- knowledge, are more socially competent and later are more creative when compared to children who did not have imaginary friends. To test the extent of the subject of imaginary friends, a systemic review of the literature published about imaginary friends was conducted using the PubMed database. Furthermore, a ten year old boy with imaginary companions and his mother were interviewed. The case report is included and discussed in this paper.
