Sažetak
This work describes research into the quantitative and qualitative composition of dragonfly fauna of the Drava River and Kopacki rit, a total of 48 species being defined. Distribution maps of individual species in the area investigated have been made using the most up-to-date methods supported by GIS technology. The results of the application of the Sorensen method in the investigation of the populations in this work have shown that there are three types of communities of populations that are dependent on the particular ecological conditions in these habitats. The seasonal and diurnal dynamics have been investigated, and it has been shown that during the day they are most active in the late morning hours, and from a seasonal point of view from the end of June until the beginning of August. Five species making an appearance for the first time in the area investigated have been determined: Coenagrion ornatum, Libellula fulva, Hemianax ephippiger, Sympetrum flaveolum, Orthetrum coerulescens. Particular forms of dragonfly behaviour have been investigated and it has been shown that they can be thus divided into two groups. The first relates to territory - defending behaviour, and the second to behaviour during mating. A proposal has been made for a new Croatian terminology for dragonflies.
