Sažetak
Working in an organisation, over time, makes us think we know a lot about it. But do we? An organisation has to continually adapt to changes in its environment. Its effectiveness and efficiency often depend on organizational behaviour. In attempting to capitalize on the capabilities of employees, an organisation should be managed not only by setting its vision, mission and corporation goals but by developing effective teams, building an attractive work environment, establishing good communication, in other words, by managing the dynamics of organisational behaviour. By understanding the principles of organisational behaviour it is easier to relate events in an organisation. Knowledge about organisational behaviour will help organisational systems influence critical elements. More often than not, a prescriptive view of organisation can discover hidden side effects and result in specific recommendations for organisational action. Most importantly, organisational behaviour has to be understood and must concern everyone within an organisation, not just managers. This paper emphasizes the theory of organisational behaviour and its main focus is to answer why organisational behaviour should be managed. Discussion and directions for future research are provided at the end.
