Sažetak
One of great problems when exploiting mineral resources, construction of the roads andhighways, railway tracks and different works performed in hard stones by a method of mining are theseismic impacts to the surrounding and different objects. In practice, cases of claims for payments ofdamages happened because of “mining works” are quite often. However, damages really caused bymining works in total number of those claims are minimal. To many people, mining is just an excuseto make a damage claim. Application of the law regulations, rules and standards was unclear andinconsistent, and in a great percent it still is. New regulation of the Republic of Slovenia in year 2003is a positive move forward in this area. Depending on the distance to the objects and amount ofexplosive used, seismic measurements are undertaken. Especially large problem is when mining isdone in the immediate nearness to the object. Repair works in the quarry “Brestanica”, the drillingand mining works and seismic measurements are good example of those positive steps forward ofmeasurements and mining works. It is also interesting to look at the experiences and problems for thepractice in Republic of BiH which shows us that problems at these works are the same.
