Sažetak
Dermatoglyphic traits polygenetically determined and almost totally formed and differentiated by the fourth fetal month, making them almost environmentally stable characters. All endogenic, as well as exogenic factors during this period could be expressed on the dermatoglyphic patterns and also on a number of ridges on fingers. Inheritance of patterns is significant, but also the asymmetry between homologous fingers is found to be genetically or environmentally influenced during this short embrional period. The outcome of this could be reflected as a higher asymmetry or symmetry between homologous fingers. If the genetic factors play some role in the ethiopathogenesys of carcinoma there must be differences between healthy controls and patients suffering of different types of lung carcinoma in asymmetry, in quantitative as well as in qualitative dermatoglyphic traits. This is the aim of proving the genetical predisposition of the carcinomas. Qualitative dermatoglyphic traits (whorls, loops, and arches) on fingers and the asymmetry (A) of quantitative dermatoglyphic traits are studied in four different types of bronchopulmonary carcinoma, in males (four types of carcinoma) and in females (two types of carcinoma) and compared with healthy controls. Relative frequencies of whorls and loops on fingers differ in carcinomas in males and in females. The relative asymmetry (A) for all 5 homologous fingers, in males suffering from lung carcinoma, seems to be lower than in control groups. At the same time the macrocellulare carcinomas in males shows more differences between right and left hand. Therefore, the endogenic factors are suspected to have important role in appearance of carcinoma, as well as in most of other types of carcinoma, but for some types of carcinoma exogenic factors can also have influence during the early embrional life.
