Sažetak
In the period from 1995-1999 there where 3 children with diagnosis of orbital embrional rhabdomyosarcoma treated at the children’s Hospital Zagreb, Center for solid tumors. There were 2 girls: the firstone 13 months old and the second 6 year old, and 14 year old boy. They all had the parameningal orbital rhabdomyisarcoma, confirmed by CT or MR scans. Aslo, the diagnosis was verified by cytomorphological methods and pathological analysis. There was no preparative treatment. Total evision of tumor was done in all 3 patients. They all received postoperative chemoterapy: ifosfanid-vincristin_Actinomycin D( or Adiamycin). Radiotherapy was performed in all children. After the chemotherapy and radiotherapy, children were controled: orbital ultrasound every month, Trhnetium bone scintigraphy-every 3 month, chest x-ray, tumor markers- every month. In girls there were no sign of recidive. One year after the treatment, the recidive was registred in 14 years old boy, and confirmed by fine needle aspiration cytology. It was decided to go along with the orbital eventration and postrecidive chemotherapy: Carboplatina, VP-16. Now, the patients have no sign of local recidive or metastases. We conclude that in our small group we have good results whether we didn’t performed mutilated operation in 2 girls.
