Sažetak
This M.A. thesis addresses the question of different organization of the first and the second language mental lexicon. In addition, it explores the difference between the mental lexicon of less and more proficient second language learners. The first part of the thesis deals with the theoretical background on the mental lexicon, its structure and organization. It also addresses the notion of priming and word association tests. In the second part, an overview of the related studies is given. The last part of the thesis is devoted to the research on the difference in the organization of the first and second language mental lexicon. This part includes the results, discussion on the results and limitations.
