Sažetak
High speed of newspaper production with the greatest possible quality using the cheapest printing materials is expected from the newspaper web offset presses. To fit these demands the necessity of choice standardisation of optimal combination of newspaper ink and newsprint paper appears. The main problem in choosing the optimal combination of the newspaper ink and newsprint paper, in defining the optimal printing parameters is the defining of the print drying by penetration. The quantitative laboratory method for determination of newspaper ink penetration is presented in this paper. The method is based on the preparation of the prints and set-off prints by IGT test instruments and densitometric measurements of the colour density of the prints and set-off prints. The combinations of one newspaper ink and five newsprint papers were investigated by the presented method.
