Sažetak
Quarternary sediments on the territory of the Kvarner-Istrian macroregion are of negligible spatial expansion. Their appearance is typically oasic. Quarternary sediments are best preserved on the island Susak, then on a part of the island Unije. On the basis of sedimentologic analysis the sediments were concluded to be mostly of Aeolian origin. There are represented by loess and loess-like sediments and silty sand. On the basis of mineralogical analysis it"s doubtless that a bigger part of the primary dusty material and sands originate from the alluviums of the river Po and its tributaries. Paleomagnetic researches of the Susak quarternary layers stated that there are younger than 730 thousand years.
