Sažetak
The paper seeks to provide an insight in welfare mix development and to assess the level of the development of civil society, seen as important stakeholder of social reforms and decentralisation of social policy in Croatia. In its introductory section, it discusses the concept of welfare mix and gives an overview of the welfare mix development in Croatia. In the following section it presents the results of the empirical research on welfare mix in Croatia, undertaken in 2007 and 2010. In it, the role of different local welfare stakeholders, namely, counties, cities, associations, public benefit companies, centres for social welfare and Croatian employment service is analysed, as well as modes of their cooperation at the local levels. The final section discusses the strengths and weaknesses of welfare mix in Croatia and implications for the future research.
