Sažetak
The success of the Rechtspfleger in reducing excessive workloads in the judicial system in Germany and Austria, the difficulties in the functioning of the judicial systems in Eastern Europe and the closeness of certain countries to the German legal tradition have all influenced the implementation of the institution of Rechtspfleger in Eastern Europe. The paper deals with the institution of the Rechtspfleger in German and Austrian law and the reception of the Rechtspfleger in Eastern Europe (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Estonia, Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina). In the conclusion are given some remarks regarding the need of the Rechtspfleger in Croatia.
