Sažetak
This practical workshop will introduce trainees to writing a press release based on their research, which could be sent out to a range of media outlets. A short lecture will explain, with examples, how the mass media cover science, technology and medicine, and the techniques required to turn front-line research into newsworthy material. Participants will get advice while writing up their work, and feedback on the finished press releases. Please note: participants will need to be registered for this workshop. It will be very useful if participants can bring with them a short (one- page maximum) article or description of their work suitable for a non-specialist audience.
