Sažetak
The paper presents an analysis of local welfare systems in two Croatian cities: Zagreb and Varaždin. The structure of the paper comprises of four sections for each city, that is, four studied populations or policies. The first section provides an overview of the transformations in the labour market, including the analysis of the socio-economic trends and public regulation. The following section presents an analysis of demographic changes and local family policy. Section three deals with the immigrants and immigration policies. The final section provides an analysis of the trends in the housing field.
