Sažetak
Two Croatian surveys are presented. The first was carried out using a close-end questionnaire mailed to random sample (425 GPs working in Croatia, all with offices on lease) with response rate 74, 2% and the second on an adult population (Croatian National Survey, random 9060 respondents) anwering the screening question: “In the past year, has anyone advised you to change your behaviour?”. Results of Croatian National Survey showed that most respondents, answering the screening question put family members in the first place. Survey showed some differences in comparation between GP and family members as a source for changing food habits. GPs are more likely to advice elderly, those with lower education and those who visited office regularly. Those who were overweight were adviced more by doctors than family members. Overwieght was self-percieved using female and male figures.
