Sažetak
The first low temperature difference Stirling engine was presented at Inter-University Center in Dubrovnik as early as 1983. The original prototype was working under temperature difference of 20oC, which was later gradually decreased by the other inventors. On the other side, Japanese researchers at Saitama University (1995) worked in opposite direction, perfecting a new commercial model, powered by geothermal water under a temperature difference of 80oC. A further increasing of temperature requires application of fire, resulting the combustion products and containing undesirable emission. This is an ecological limit, which could be mathematically defined as well.
