Sažetak
The seismotectonic cross-sections exhibit spatially steeple inclined zones bordering the structures that have less favourable orientation (perpendicular) to the stress. The cross-sections point out that the mild subduction of the Adriatic platform is present at first, and then, approximately in the area of the Kvarner islands, the zone is steeply inclined and the earthquake hypocentres are found to the depth of 30 km. The maximum possible earthquake magnitude was established to be 6.
