Sažetak
A method to estimate the dynamic magnification of Vicentini seismographs is proposed. It was tested by applying it to the 1906 San Francisco earthquake seismogram recorded in Zagreb. The magnitudes inferred from the reconstructed ground motion amplitudes of P- and surface waves are internally consistent (mb=7.74, Ms=8.48) and agree with the values reported by other European stations.
