Sažetak
Operations that include washing sands or other settled solid particles from wells are at present most commonly executed by means of coiled tubing. Well cleaning requires fluids that will lift the particles and carry them to the surface. In order to execute the operation properly the pump capacity must be estimated to secure the required fluid flow velocity. Prediction of frictional pressure loss for Newtonian fluids will be discused.
