Sažetak
Already in the first centuries Croats had some knowleges in geometry and astronomy what we can see in their material culture. In the time of Trpimir the first Benedictian schools were founded. In 12th century Hermann of Dalmatia worked in Spain and France and there he participated in the foundation of new science in West Europe.
