Sažetak
Travelling that is aimed at relaxation in all its forms includes more or less a health care function as well. Since relaxation and recreation are actually a sort of health service, it could be claimed that almost any kind of tourism is a health treatment in a way. Given this wider concept of health care function of tourist traveling, every basic tourist service has a health care aspect too. This can be extended to giving preventive health service through a number of supplementary and auxiliary tourist service. The fact that these extended services are the normal sanitary and health standard of modern life in developed European countries makes them a necessary component of the offer in any tourist establishment. Considering the trend of growing number of types and quality levels in such services, they represent an increasingly important partial element in the integral hotel offer, which contributes to the marketablity of tourist product. The paper analyzes the health care components of Croatian tourist facilities, taking into consideration the current condition and the legislation which regulates the minimum requirements for such offer. Furthermore, a few recognizable trends in some competitive countries are defined.
