Sažetak
The research was done with the aim to diagnose deformities in locomotor system among 615 primary school pupils in Gospić out of whom 269 pupils attended first four grades. The diagnosis showed that 69, 96% first grade pupils had foot deformities and 3, 80% had spine deformities. 69, 96% second grade pupils had foot deformities and 3, 80% had spine deformities. 78, 57% third grade pupils had foot deformities and 7, 15% had spine deformities. 85, 5% fourth grade pupils had foot deformities and 14, 05% had spine deformities. On the average in the first four grades of primary school 76, 3% pupils had foot deformities and 8, 55% had one of the spine deformities. In total 79, 51% pupils from the first to the eight grade had one of the foot deformities and 14, 63% pupils had one of the spine deformities. The diagnosis of illnesses and deformities on locomotor system showed that primary school in Gospić in cooperation with parents, PE teachers, other teachers and school medicine department needs to organize additional PE classes for corrective foot and spine exercises.
