Sažetak
Cellulose fabrics dyed with three different types of reactive dyes have been treated with different finishing agents. Because of the increasing interest in formaldehyde-free agents, investigation of the finishing of dyed fabrics with PCA (polycarboxylic acid) and modified DMGU [dimethyl-glyoxalurea), DMDHBU (dimethyloldihydroxyethyleneurea) or their mixture was done. Textile and color properties of finished fabrics were determined by standard test methods. Among properties tested were formaldehyde release, wrinkle resistance, breaking strength, and color difference. Types of reactive dyes and finishing agents had a great influence on color difference. It has been determined that treatments with PAC gave minimal color difference. Color difference values after modified DMDHEU and DMGU treatments were quite similar. With the combination of formaldehyde-free and low formaldehyde crosslinikng agents, the formaldehyde content was significantly lowered and satisfies ecological and economic demands.
