Sažetak
Information lifecycle management is becoming essential process in many industries, as amount of data stored and information derived from it is growing exponentially. Broadcast industry and radio in particular, is not an exception. On contrary, content creation and play out is confronting radio industry with many challenges on how to manage and optimize workflows. Additionally, archived music and produced program are in many cases national heritage, and management of that content is of outmost importance and extreme value. As many broadcasters were engaged in transition from standard to IT based infrastructure, data management and information flow changed significantly. This master thesis is explaining crucial parts of workflow in new digital environment, listing main technological building blocks, and than elaborating those throughout a case study. Case study is mainly focusing on data and metadata design and implementation in practice, as well as high availability and disaster recovery as a part of data protection and management. Additionally, case study is describing workflow and building blocks of new landscape. Finally, paper is discussing development and outlook, governance in terms of security and business frameworks, future trends and mobile innovation, and impact of those on information management.
