Sažetak
Boiler members poured out of gray casting play significant role in the system of central heating, due to their waterproof properties and hardness. Due to the fact that residual stresses exert enormous influence on mechanical properties of the gray castings (which has already been confirmed in some previous studies), causing frequent deformations and cracking of casting, it is necessary to keep these properties within clearly defined limits.
The paper describes production process, and the effects of mold hardness on the amount of residual stresses, and destruction pressure (mechanical properties) of radiator members.
