Sažetak
The article with the problem of financing the adult education in the time of crisis. The need for educating the staff specially during the economical instability and the time of market survival struggle is emphasized. Educated staff, experts in the field are starting point for economical rehabilitation and development of company and society in general. Discussion about the different models of financing adult education, specially in time of crisis is opened. The article states three sources for financing - local public administration, for companies' purposes and self-financing of intrinsically motivated persons. Date are given from different educational programs of the largest institution for life-long learning in Republic of Croatia - Public Zagreb and the local public administration project has been introduced. Project data give relation of selection of educational programs for specific jobs and selection of different educational levels: formal - additional qualifications, retraining, vocational training, upgrading and informal - other programs which include foreign languages, basic computing skills, etc.
