Sažetak
The Black Redstart's breeding in the lowlands of Hrvatsko Zagorje was first recorded in 1981. The number of pairs had increased successively and stabilized on the avarage number of 6 pairs (0.30 pairs per 1 ha) in the last six years of research (1992 - 1997). All nests in the Mokrice village area were situated 1.5 - 11.5 m above the ground. 27 out of 61 nests of the first brood were situated in 1.5 - 3.5 m above the ground (44.26%). The average clutch size was 4.67 (1 to 6 eggs per nest). The average length of an egg was 19.38 mm, the average width 14.57 mm. The shortest egg was 17.54 mm in length, and the longest 21.43 mm. The narrowest egg was 13.38 mm in breadth and the broadest 15.76 mm. The average mass of fresh laid eggs was 2.12 grams, of the egg shell 0.11 grams, the calculated egg volume was 2098.13 mm3, and the egg shape index 1.33. When comparing characteristics with the data given by other authors there aren't any considerable differences.
