Sažetak
The coordination of research though this Action will lead to the development of new areas of fundamental scientific research due to the sharing of knowledge and enhancing the research abilities of the participants. The Action will coordinate research that will have significant impacts on important contemporary issues including the conservation and sustainable use of freshwater and marine ecosystems through using organisms as sentinels in biomonitoring and mimicking bio-inorganic processes to create new functional materials. The knowledge derived and disseminated under this Action will have strong socio-economic impacts. with applications in diverse areas such as information and communications technology, medical osseo-inclusion and dentistry.
