Sažetak
The possibilita to measure strain and stress, deformation rate as well as the determination of the tectonic displacement form doline distribution and ridges morphology is proved. This allows the confirmation of the departure hypothesis on the strong influence of tectonic forces on landforms development. Consequently, it could be concluded that for the detailed explanations of the genesis and development of the relief forms, on the Velebit mountain range, the detailed knowledge on the tectonic regimes is needed. At the same time this analysis contributes to the study of the morphostructural conditions and recent kinematics of the Velebit mountain range on the local and regional level, This study also confirms thet geomorphological analysis can contribute to the study of the nature and magnitude of recent tectonic activity.
