Sažetak
Liver transplantations have been performed in University Hospital Merkur since 1998 and today the total number of performed transplantations is 360. The most frequent indications are alcohol liver disease, cirrhosis caused by the hepatitis B and C virus, hepatocellular carcinoma and cryptogenetic liver cirrhosis. Laboratory tests required for liver transplantations are performed in the Institute of Clinical Chemistry, University Hospital Merkur, accredited according to ISO 15189 in 2007 for areas of clinical chemistry, laboratory hematology and coagulation, laboratory immunology-cell immunophenotyping and molecular diagnostics.
