Sažetak
The research goal has been to make a geomorphological map, to determine the basic conditions and processes of the relief formation and development, and to define its general geomorphologic characteristics on the area of the Slunj karst plateau as example of spacious plateaus of Dinaric karst. The Slunj karst plain is built of the Mesozoic carbonate rocks. On some locations there are the Neogene clastic lacustrine sediments, usually occurring as denudational remains. Primarily, the Neogene sediments covered the biggest part of the plain with well developed surface hydrographic net. Because of the Neogene sediments denudation, the Mesozoic carbonate rocks were exhumed and karstification led to disorganization of the surface hydrographic net. Recently, this area has lot of karstic and fluviokarstic (active and relict) relief forms. Since geomorphological mapping is one of the most important methods of geomorphological research the aim of this work was detail mapping and production of the digital geomorphologic map of the area. At the basis of the given data a geomorphologic analyses and synthesis was worked out and detailed geomorphologic map to the scale 1:50, 000 was done. Dominant morphogenetic processes of the relief formation (structural-morphologic and exogeomorphologic) were distinguished, and basic stages of the relief geomorphologic evolution were determined.
