Sažetak
Inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry was used in the study of quantitative determination of silver content at low concentration range in shell samples1. Optimization of working parameters for the most prominent silver analytical lines (328.068 nm, 241.323 nm and 224.643 nm)2 gave the L-PAD detector response at 328.068 nm as the most sensitive. The samples of powdered shells were digested in microwave owen by addition of acidic medium containing nitric and citric acid. Accuracy control of the applied method was made by use of certified reference samples: marine sediments IAEA-433, fish homogenate IAEA-407 and sediment NCS DC 77309. The method detection limits were determined and calibration modes in quantitative determination of silver were compared. Method of standard addition (MSA) for the silver determination in lower concentration range was showed as a method of choice. Modification of preparation procedure by citric acid addition which prevents losses of silver was found preferable for the silver determination at low concentration range.
