Sažetak
This paper presents the problem that no adequate attention has been given to disabled workers and their need for rehabilitation and encouragement in a field of employment suitable to their terms of competence, therefore fulfilling their maximum potential. Disabled workers often feel like social outcasts with lack of social integration due to forced early retirement. The authors of this paper stress out that many objective and subjective circumstances might be resolved if we pay more attention to this problem from a scientific point of view. It is pragmatic and human to take care of disabled workers and their rehabilitation because of the increase of productivity and its influence on national income, which in turn increases their dignity and restores their self-esteem, hence improving their quality of life.
