Sažetak
The kinetics of the hydrogen evolution reaction on Ni-Zr amorphous alloys and polycrystalline Ni in 1 mol dm^-3 NaOH solution at 294 K were studied by means of quasi-potentiostatic, steady-state, polarization and ac impedance methods. Both the experimental polarization curve and impedance spectra at various potentials were fitted with reasonably good agreement by the reaction model with a single set of rate constants and other parameters. The significance of the kinetic parameters as a function of both potential and Ni content is discussed. Amorphous Ni-Zr alloys were prepared by melt spinning method.
