Sažetak
This study shows the results of satellite sea surface temperature validation over Adriatic Sea derived from AVHRR/NOAA17 and MODIS/Terra instruments and improvement of the regional AVHRR/NOAA17 SST algorithm. The validation is based on referent AATSR/ENVISAT measurements for period from 2003. to 2008. and includes auxiliary variables derived from MODIS instrument (aerosol optical depth and water vapor). Derivation of the regional Adriatic Sea AVHRR SST algorithm shows improvement in both bias and standard deviation compared to the global algorithm.
