This work discusses the major developmental trends of, and problems in education and training of teachers, and outlines the legislative framework of the Croatia`s education system and ways of its management. It also describes and discusses the major changes, shortcomings and problems in education which are determined by the present social scene in Croatia, and outlines possible trends of development Croatia`s education system in the near future.
