Sažetak
This book contains beside a short annotation about steel grades and qualities followed by an introduction to the European safety concept as basic knowledge, 104 tables for all European rolled sections, a selection from British and American sections, hot-rolled and cold-formed hollow sections as well, tables giving data about dimensions, properties and classifications, design resistance, design buckling resistance and design lateral torsional buckling resistance moment under two different load conditions, based on the European buckling curves. Seeing as in the engineer s practice other shapes of moment diagrams can be found when they dealt with problem of lateral torsional buckling. The original authors idea was to find the simplest expression by means of which the buckling moment resistance for different shapes of the moment diagram would be approximated with available values of the beams moment resistance for the uniform and parabolical shapes. Preliminary design, profile selection or quick safety check of various structural members, based on the original algoritam of authors, are possible by only using these tables, may be to evite time-consuming computer analysis, or may be to check the plausibelity of results obtained by computer analysis.
