Sažetak
High education is one of the fundamental development factors which should guarantee a sustainable development, and a successful long- term Croatian economic and social growth. High educational institutions should provide the possibility to acquire general and specific knowledge, skills and competences and to shape managers and professionals which are at the bottom of the future successful Croatian development. Educational processes should be, therefore adequately designed, monitored, controlled and improved in order to be flexible and capable to generate wanted outputs. The paper is an overview of some quantitative methods than can be used in educational process improvement. The utilization of these methods can improve the educational process, bring it closer to student’s expectations and adjust it to the labor market needs. Among numerous methods of educational process control and improvement, regression control charts, can be pointed out. The paper is therefore, an attempt to discuss the combination of regression analysis and standard control charts applied to the educational process control and improvement.
