Sažetak
Significant changes in the structure of enterprises, especially development of SMEs, are highly important in transitional process and development of the Republic of Croatia. Small enterprises exist mostly in the private sector and through restricted number of economic activities. Small market, insufficient state support, inadequate credits and non-existing system for stimulating innovations are restrictions to their development. Therefore, they are obstacles for achievement of the roles they already have in economy of the EU.
