Sažetak
The main purpose of the presentation was to discuss the purpose of a company. In this respect maximization of monetary goals was set versus sustainability. The authors stressed that profitability and sustainability should not be opposed to each other - they complement each other. A special emphasis is given to tourism business, where consequences of mass tourism development were discussed in relation to tour operating business. The interest of tour operators in implementation of principles of sustainable development were critically analysed. The authors conclude that there is a long way to go. Only good cooperation within all who share destiny of tourism development can provide future for all involved.
