Sažetak
Completely amorphous thin films of Al80W20- Al67W33 alloys were produced by the magnetron sputtering codeposition technique upon glass, sapphire and alumina substrates. The corrosion resistances of the as-deposited and thermally crystallizes Al-W films and pure components (Al, W) were examined by the electrochemical methods. The samples were examined by the XRD and optical microscopy methods prior and after exposure to the corrosive agent. The samples corrosion resistance in the 1 M HCl solution was investigated. The parameters of the corrosion kinetics were determined from the DC polarization measurements, while the electric and dielectric properties were determined by the AC (2 mV amplitude) measurements. An equivalent electric circuit model was proposed for the alloy-electrolyte interphase. The corrosion properties obtained results were correlated to the chemical composition and structure of the examined samples. The corrosion resistance increases with the content of tungsten in the amorphous Al-W thin films.
