Sažetak
In the paper, the numerical estimate of the engineering properties of the laminated composite material structural units, e.g. multilayered symmetric orthotropic plates are explained. Using the terms of the plane (2D) classical lamination theory, numerical analysis the effective engineering properties of laminated plates for various lamination angles of unidirectional laminae is carried out. The analyzed laminates were composed of unidirectional laminae of several characteristic composite materials. For the unidirectional laminae as reinforcement fibers of E-glass, graphite, Kevlar49 and boron were used, respectively. As matrix materials, epoxy resin was used. In the given examples, two different types the balanced symmetric laminates, angle-ply ()s and cross-ply (0o/90o)s laminates are analyzed. The values of the effective engineering properties for the analyzed symmetric four-layered laminated plates are presented graphically in diagrams
