Sažetak
Marginal cost data are used in electricity rate structures, generating planning, and power purchase planning. Marginal cost of power is dependent on the hourly time-of-day profile of power purchase, the utility operating system and term of power purchase. MESSAGE is software designed for setting up optimization models of energy supply systems to assess capacity expansion and energy production policies. MESSAGE is an extremely flexible model. It needs user’s ingenuity to define the system and probe policy questions.
