Sažetak
Uncertainties in competitive generation capacity additions in terms of the sitting, timing and operating parameters are much greater than before due to the deregulated power supply markets and the increased number of independent power producers. As such, new planning objectives need to be defined and new analytical tools need to be developed in support of market based resource planning process as to identify potential generation and transmission expansion opportunities and reduce the risks associated with competition.
