Sažetak
Determination of the suitable areas for marine mariculture (fish farming) in Split-Dalmatian County (central eastern Adriatic) was performed by support of Geographic Information Systems - GIS (Arc/Info and ArcView software). Overlaying of different spatial entities (sea depth, hydrographic properties of the sea, polluted areas, urban areas, traffic routes, under-sea cables, etc.) with joining of non-spatial attributes to them enabled varied set of sophisticated analyses.
